Maharashtra covid- Commuters facing problems due to travel rules

Jagriti Rai (intern journalist), Maharashtra: People who are flying from Delhi to Maharashtra keeping in mind the third covid wave we are seeing in the capital. Maharashtra had made it mandatory for passengers who are flying into Maharashtra from Delhi to have a covid negative report. So that is a must for all of them.

If you are traveling from Rajasthan to Maharashtra, you need to have with you a negative certificate or must get an RT-PCR test. Similar rules from Gujarat to Maharashtra again you will need to have a covid negative certificate to be allowed to fly Maharashtra, from Goa as well a rule has been put a place by Maharashtra government, that all fliers must need a negative certificate with RT-PCR test to be able to enter the state. So, what happens if you don’t have a negative report then you have to undergo for RT-PCR test at the airport itself.

Mumbai airport authority concern, they maintain that all the facilities are in place. Thermal screening has been going on at the Mumbai international airport for many weeks now and they said that the airport for many weeks now and they say that the airport has the capacity to conduct around 3000 to 5000 covid, RT-PCR test on any given day.

Now strict instructions have come from the state government because of the state government beliefs that the next 3 to 4 weeks for Mumbai. Maharashtra’s situation is going to be very very critical.

It is after ten days that the government is going to have a look at the entire situation.CM has also pointed out, rather than imposing instructions it would be better if the citizens themselves realize that they have a responsibility. Hence these new domestic air travel guidelines have been put into place.
