(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist) Patna: On the initiative of the state government, the entomology team which conducted the survey in the districts of North Bihar has got some important information in the initial phase. The survey team has found that a particular species of mosquito in Muzaffarpur is the vector of the virus of JE (Japanese Encephalitis). Culex (a species of mosquito) has caught the eye of the entire team.

In the final conclusion, if Culex is considered a carrier of the JE virus, it may help to a great extent in finding the factors of AES. The entomology team constituted by the committee has completed the survey of its first-round immediately in Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, and East Champaran. A sample of other mosquitoes, including flies, has been collected in this survey. These samples are being studied in the laboratory of RMRI.
