(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) New cases of corona infection in the country have set a new record once again. The death toll in the country has crossed 36 thousand. For the first time in the country, 57,117 new cases of the corona were reported on Saturday.
This is the third consecutive day when more than 50,000 Covid-19 cases have been reported. At the same time, the good thing is that the number of people recovering from the infection has also reached about 11 lakh and the investigation has increased. So far, over 1.93 crore samples have been tested for Corona in the country.
On Saturday morning, the death toll has risen to 36,511 with 764 deaths in the last 24 hours. Cases of infection in the country have increased to 16,95,988, of which 5,65,103 people are undergoing treatment, and 10,94,374 have recovered from the disease after treatment.
Foreign citizens are also involved in total cases of infection. The rate of recovery of patients has been 64.53 percent, the death rate has come down to 2.15 percent, and 33.32 percent of patients are being treated in various hospitals.
The 764 more people who died in the last 24 hours, 265 were from Maharashtra, 97 from Tamil Nadu, 84 from Karnataka, 68 from Andhra Pradesh, 45 from West Bengal, 43 from Uttar Pradesh, 27 from Delhi, 23 from Gujarat, 16 Punjab. At the same time, 14 people died in Bihar and Telangana, 12 in Jammu and Kashmir, and 11 in Rajasthan.
10 persons from Madhya Pradesh, eight from Odisha, four each from Assam, Haryana and Uttarakhand, three each from Goa, Jharkhand, Kerala, two from Chhattisgarh, and one each from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
