(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) In the referendum for the constitutional amendment in Russia, President Vladimir Putin has achieved a great victory. He will remain as President of Russia till 2036.
Recently Putin has asked the Constitution Amendment Act for public response in this act he has purposed for remaining as President till 2036. The public approved the amendment. It took 7 dayslong with all the protest, Corona crisis which comes to an end on Wednesday. He got the two additional terms of six years each. It was a slow process due to the coronavirus epidemic. The voting was done without rush in the election booth which took a week to complete.
Putin has a campaign on a large scale to win the public confidence for the changes in the constitution. Putin said ‘We are voting for the country for which we work and which we want to hand over to our children and grandchildren.’
