Debalina Mandal (Intern Journalist) Moscow- Riot broke on Sunday between police and the people protesting to support of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny. More than 5000 protesters were detained.
After the riot broke down, police have created a security lockdown in the center of the city. Closing all streets, pedestrian lanes, and metro stations and positioned hundreds of police.
At some point, protesters were seen marching and chanting “Let him Go” towards the prison where Navalny was held. And in another episode, people in a crowd gathered and raised their hands above their heads in front of the riot police and chanted “We’re not your enemies”.
