(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The Indian Army has awarded the Shaurya Chakra to three brave soldiers who showed bravery. The Army has announced these names today. It was informed from the army that Havaldar Alok Kumar Dubey, Major Anil Urs, and Lieutenant Colonel Krishna Singh Rawat have been awarded the Shaurya Chakra for valor in various campaigns in Jammu and Kashmir.

Telling the story of the bravery of Havaldar Alok Dubey, the Indian Army said that on 22 June 2019, they had saved many people. On June 22, when the news was received that terrorists had infiltrated the forests near a village in Jammu and Kashmir. Havildar Alok Dubey was given the responsibility there. He went there and laid siege to the terrorists.

List of heroes to be released on the occasion of Independence Day
On the other hand, the Ministry of Home Affairs has released a list of the names of those brave heroes of the police who will be honored on the occasion of Independence Day. Gallantry Award will be given to 215 jawans, President’s Police Medal to 80 jawans, and Medal to 631 jawans for their meritorious work. Apart from this, the ITBP has also recommended before the Ministry of Home Affairs the names of those 21 soldiers for gallantry medals who faced China with gusto in the Galvan Valley of East Ladakh. Every year, the Ministry of Home Affairs announces medals for soldiers in different states for exceptional and remarkable service and contribution. State governments recommend the names of policemen for these awards.
