(Dharshini.G, Intern journalist) Taipei: Chinese hackers invaded in any event 10 Taiwan government organizations and accessed around 6,000 email accounts trying to take information, authorities said Wednesday.
The harm done was “not small”, as indicated by a top Taiwan digital authority, who said the full effect was all the while being surveyed.
Taipei has blamed Beijing for venturing up a digital campaign since 2016 when Taiwan chose President Tsai Ing-wen, who will not recognize Beijing’s request that oneself controlled law based island is a piece of “one China”.
Tsai, who sees Taiwan as we factor independent, won re-election in January in what was viewed as a solid reproach to Beijing’s effort to impact the island.
As per the Taiwan Investigation Bureau’s Cyber Security Investigation Office, two notable Chinese hacking forces – Blacktech and Taidoor – have been focusing on government offices and data specialists since 2018.
