(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: In the 28-year-old Babri demolition case, the CBI special court acquitted all the 32 accused while giving the final verdict. CBI court judge Surendra Kumar Yadav wrote the verdict for this historic case in 2300 pages. The court said that the Babri Masjid was not demolished under the conspiracy. It was a sudden incident. The Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya on 06 December 1992. There were 49 accused in this incident. However, 17 accused died during the trial that lasted for 28 years. The remaining 32 accused were acquitted by the court.
After completing the hearing on September 16, CBI court judge Surendra Kumar Yadav fixed September 30 for the final verdict. He asked all 32 accused to be present in the court. However, 6 people did not appear in court citing health reasons and were involved in court proceedings through video conferencing.
LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Sudhir Kakkar, Satish Pradhan, Ram Chandra Khatri, Santosh Dubey, Om Prakash Pandey, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti, Ram Vilas Vedanti, Vinay Katiyar, Prakash Sharma, Gandhi Yadav, Jai Bhan Singh in the Babri demolition case, Lallu Singh, Kamlesh Tripathi, Brij Bhushan Singh, Ramji Gupta, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Champat Rai, Sakshi Maharaj, Vinay Kumar Rai, Naveen Bhai Shukla, Dharmadas, Jai Bhagwan Goyal, Amarnath Goyal, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Pawan Pandey, Vijay Bahadur Singh, RM Srivastava, and Dharmendra Singh Gurjar were the accused, who were acquitted on Wednesday by a special CBI court. The 17 accused in the Babri demolition case died during the trial itself.
These include Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmia, Moreshwar Sawain, Mahant Avaidyanath, Mahamandaleshwar Jagdish Muni Maharaj, Baikunth Lal Sharma, Paramhans Ramchandra Das, Dr. Satish Nagar, Balasaheb Thackeray, the then SSP DB Rai, Ramesh Pratap Singh, Mahatagi Hargovind Singh, Lakshmi Narayan Das, Ram Narayan Das, and Vinod Kumar Bansal.
