(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal (United) has released the final list for Bihar assembly elections on Wednesday. It is worth noting that JDU has not given ticket to former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, who took voluntary retirement to join Nitish Kumar’s party.
His attempt to contest the Assembly elections from Buxar seems to have been in jeopardy, as this constituency has gone under BJP’s quota. JDU has two assembly seats in Rajpur and Dumraon in Buxar district, while the remaining two, Buxar and Brahmapur, have gone to BJP. The BJP has released a list of 29 candidates for the first phase election. Out of which Parashuram Chaturvedi has been given a ticket from the Buxar seat and the Brahmapur seat has gone to the Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) quota. There were speculations that Gupteshwar Pandey would contest the assembly elections from a seat in the Buxar district.
In such a situation, questions are starting to arise on social media that what will happen to Pandey Ji now? The frills with which he took membership in the presence of Kumar of Nitish. It was clear from him that Gupteshwar Pandey would contest the Bihar Assembly elections, but now it seems to be eclipsed. Because after the list of JDU candidates came out, it has become very clear that JDU has not given a ticket to Gupteshwar Pandey. Various types of discussions are taking place in the political corridors of Bihar.
