(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Aligarh: A surprising case has come up in Aligarh district of UP. A seven-year-old minor in the police station Quarcy area is accused of raping a six-year-old girl. However, no decision could be taken regarding the age test of the accused child.
Aligarh’s Juvenile Justice Board has to take a decision in the case. In this connection, the board has fixed the day for the hearing. In this case, the Aligarh Police will also present the report of the medical examination of the victim child before the board. Only then will the further action be decided. The mother and family of the girl reached the police station on Saturday night at the Quarsi police station and accused a child living in a rented house in the neighborhood.
The hearing could not be held on Tuesday as all the members of the Juvenile Justice Board were not present. Now the board has set the date for the hearing on Wednesday. After which the 7-year-old minor accused of rape has been sent back to the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday along with his family and sent back home. During this time the medical report of the girl child will also be presented before the board. SP City Abhishek Singh said that the Juvenile Justice Board has set a date for hearing in this case.
The procedure will be adopted by the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday. Only then a decision can be taken. Meanwhile, people in Aligarh are shocked by this matter. The case also looks complicated due to the age of the accused being just seven years.
