(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Bhopal: The BJP’s victory in the by-elections to 28 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh has come as a shock to the Congress party. With the victory of the Kashaya Party, the hopes of the Congress to take the reins of government in the state were dashed.
However, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh alleged that the BJP had won a landslide victory with the magic of EVMs. Commented that any mission with a chip could be hacked. Digvijay said the top countries were also using ballot papers and the counting of votes was still going on in some states during the US presidential election.
He alleged that the BJP was supporting the performance of EVMs by pointing out the victories of the opposition and that he could say that EVMs were manipulated in selected areas.
On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh BJP chief Veedi Sharma was angry that Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh had betrayed the people of the state. The BJP, which has won 9 seats so far in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly by-elections, is leading in another ten seats, while the Congress, which has won just one seat, is leading in another seven seats.
The BSP candidate is in the lead in place of Morena. Congress rebel leader Jyotiraditya Scindia retained her grip. All the MLAs who came with him were heading towards victory. However, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the victory was possible due to the collective efforts of their party leaders.
