(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Kolkata, July 26 Senior leader Mukul Roy said on Sunday that he is with the BJP and will stay with it. He described the news of his differences with the leadership as “malicious and misleading”. Addressing the press conference, Roy said that he was hurt by the speculation. “I am with the BJP, I was with the BJP and I will be with the BJP,” he said.
Roy dismissed speculation of returning to the Trinamool Congress. Roy joined the BJP in 2017, leaving the Trinamool Congress. “The BJP gave me full responsibility to oversee the party’s campaign in the panchayat and Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal,” he told reporters. The central leadership has given me full respect. Why should I be disappointed? ”In reply to a question, Roy said that he has no differences with BJP state president Dilip Ghosh.
Asked if he had a complaint about not being given a ministerial post even after a year of success in the Lok Sabha elections in Bengal, Roy said he wanted to work to strengthen the party’s organization. He said, “It is not important for me to get the post of minister. As a man of the organization, I want to work for the organization so that the party gets strengthened. ”
