Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): STF has got another big success before the Bihar Assembly elections. STF has arrested the notorious Shambhu Rai alias Shambhu Gop from Bhojpur. Shambhu Rai is a resident of Sonepur. Seven cases have been registered in Patna and Saran on this infamous. The police had been looking for this for a long time.
Earlier, STF arrested Mahesh Oraon, an absconding most wanted Naxal for several years. The Naxalite, active in several areas of North Bihar, was arrested in Bagaha. Many cases are registered against this in Muzaffarpur and Bagaha. ADG campaign Sushil Khopde has confirmed the arrest.
According to the STF, Mahesh Oraon is a key member of North Bihar’s Naxalite commander Rajan. Residents of Shivnaha of Balmikinagar police station have cases against them in Muzaffarpur, Saraiya, Balmikinagar and Laukariya related to Naxal incidents.
There are also sections of the Unlawful Activities Act (UAPA) in cases registered against Mahesh Oraon. Mahesh’s arrest before the election is seen as a big success. He has been assigned to Bagaha Police.
