Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) Leaders on Wednesday welcomed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, hoping that the initiative taken by the government would pave way for national unity and harmony.
The laying of the foundation stone defines India’s spirit of social harmony and people’s zeal, said President Ram Nath Kovind on Twitter. He also that it will be a testimony to ideals of “Ram Rajya” and a symbol of modern India. He termed the day as a “historic and proud day” for India.
Home minister Amit shah said that he heralds the beginning of a new era. By starting the construction of the temple in Ayodhya, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a golden chapter in the history of the great Indian civilization and asserted that the government remains committed to the preservation of Indian cultures and it’s valued.
It is the beginning of a “new India”, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS ) chief Mohan Bhagwat soon after the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’. We had taken a resolution… We struggled for 30 years and in the 30th year, we attained the joy of fulfilling our resolution,” he said.
